About My Dreams

In the evefall's sleepy blue skies
of gifts of starshine,
and in my waking thoughts of day-
there's a treasure of hope
about my dreams-
our old wounds close as
we reminisce of a youth
no longer with hurt or regret.

Where friends and foes,
families,
stop grinding axes,
and start to coexist
peacefully,
no painful strife in words
or deeds,
breathing in relief.
Where estrangement
is extinguished as if
a wanton fire in the
psyche's deep bitterness,
that dissipates with the
presence of the Lord's
angelic one's comforting. ~

Dear Regina, What a beautiful and hopeful poem. The image of "treasure of hope" shining under a "sleepy blue sky" is a powerful starting point that sets the tone for the rest of the poem. It's inspiring to read about your dreams of reconciliation and forgiveness, where old wounds heal and past pains dissolve. The imagery of extinguished fires and the comfort offered by "angelic ones" adds further depth and emotional resonance. This poem feels like a testament to the power of faith, hope, and understanding in transforming relationships and fostering unity. Such a heartfelt and inspiring piece. - Blessings, Daniel
