A World without poetry

A world without poetry, Is not for me. A world without poetry, Would have no place in it for me. A world without poetry, Is something that would make hope hard for me. A world without poetry, Would suck the joy out of me. Thankfully I live in a world that has poetry, For me, Thankfully I live in a world that has poetry, For more than just me, Thankfully I live in a world that has poetry, For the generations that will come after me. Thankfully I live in a world that has poetry, That will not die with me. In a world where poetry still has a place, At more than just my place, The future of the Human Race, Is one race, For a bet I must place.

Love the sentiment David especially as I didn't start writing until 2013 and was never a poetry fan before then but i do like to try and raise a smile with my silly poems, am working on humour book number 2 now! hugs jan xx

I wrote when I poems from time to time even in my youth - mostly love poems (still a hopeless romantic in a world where only a few still exist) but did not appreciate I had a gift until I found the soup in 2016 just in time for my sanity to keep. Thanks for positive comments Jan. and I tend to think you are still sane too. Best regards always David in NZ

Thanks. It keeps me sane, and I get a kick out of brightening up the day of others when I share what I write with others, and I like the challenge of writing on demand when someone gives me a word or a phrase to see what I can come up with. My day goes better also when I read other authors. Enjoy the Easter break and be kind to yourself. Rgards David in NZ
