A Winter's Night Is Different

A winter's night is different snow's mantle o'er the ground Noises muffled, birds unheard few folks out on the town This quiet creeps inside my home steals into my bones Instills a soothing peace in me grateful calm its undertone

I love the way snow muffles sound and awakening to an overnight snow that makes the world shine brighter.Enjoyed Gershon.

It seems like there's no sound When pure white snow covers the ground. Stillness and Peace for all found. I loved your Rhyme, Gerson.

That is something I miss being here in Australia, that soft quiet when snow blankets the world. I like the use of "mantle." Liz

The serenity of nature is very calm and soothing, and snow is lovely in night's darkness. Beautiful poem, Gershon. :)
