Hidden under the willow tree Lie pools of tears, silently Unable to be openly shown By someone, left behind alone In safety under branches low Tears secretly flow and flow The roots absorb the pain Mixed emotions with the rain Heartache leaves the heart torn As a weeping willow mourns Heidi Sands 1/13/18 Placed in the 10 Lines 5 Words Rhyme 2 Contest . I want a weeping willow tree in my front yard, but can't have it because of the water pipes underneath. I love them - so willowy and graceful. Love your poem.
