A Walk In My Sleep
I went for a walk one night
In my sleep
Meandering through the most
Beautiful scenes
The clothing I wore was
Loose, light and flowing
White with highlights of
Turquoise and silver
Barefoot I did walk on a
Path of blue cotton
As the sky swirled like a
Pinwheel of many bright colors
In the Crimson grass stood
Mushrooms knee-high
tangerine colored lemon yellow
and lime
Strolling along the blue cotton
Path through a candycane forest
I did pass into a meadow of dancing
Day lilies,
off in the distance stood
A pearl mountain
The path led me to a set of
Amethyst stairs that ascended
The mountain to a great
Ruby throne
With no trepidation I made my way
Up to the great ruby throne
Where I sat and surveyed
All that was below
So grand, so glorious, so serene
How I wish this wasn't a
Beautiful dream
How I wish it was real
How I wish it wasn't
Just a walk in my sleep
