A Voice From Above

" Did I tell you I was visited by the lord? " Our neighbor began to tell... He lived on a busy road So I couldn't hear him very well. I was listening intensely When a voice from above did say, " Alright boy-o! How you doin'?" To a man across the way! Well! I'm sure my face turned whiter Than the purest looking dove, That moment when I too Heard a voice come from above! Quite shaken, I slowly lifted my head. I saw a window wide open. A hand was waving, a smile beaming From where the words were spoken! That neighbor said, " Hello! " to us. Our conversation suddenly did end. And this poor man was left confused By the laughter of my friend! Of course I knew it wasn't him Who came when he was sent For I don't believe that Jesus Has an Irish accent!
