A Very Close Call

I was working on a high rise 19 stories high. I broke a major safety rule which almost caused me to die. I was walking backward laying out steel getting closer to the edge. I walked back one step too many and fell off of the ledge. Fortunately for me there was a safety net installed one story below designed to catch light debris protecting pedestrians and motorists below. Lucky for me I'm a bit of a light weight otherwise I would have plunged through that net, death being my fate. To this very day since that event nightmares continue to haunt me. Do you think I should seek out some sort of therapy?

You know how you're always kidding around, Bill? I had to read this again to make sure you were serious! Please be more careful and yes, therapy would be good. You're always in my prayers my friend. x Love, Audrey

Gee, you're lucky to be alive. I think I would need therapy if this happened to me. I can only imagine the nightmares. Be careful from now on, okay? Diane

Scary, Bill. The work you do requires full concentration and attention to safety all of the time. Therapy might help, but this kind of experience can actually help you learn to be more careful in the future if you're lucky enough to survive the first mistake. So glad you're a "light weight," Bill! Love, Carolyn
