A Valentine Wish Come True
From the first moment we glanced at each other,
There could never on this planet be another,
We were meant to be together,
Forever and ever.
We met at a wedding…………………….,
From the first dance when you drew me close,
My heartbeat missed every second stroke,
I fell in love that night,
With such delicious delight.
You gave me a brief kiss on the cheek, quite cheeky,
For you had brought a date, but you were so dreamy,
You took my hand and led me back to my chair,
And introduced me to your cousin Claire.
My happy face, my excitement she sensed,
I could relax now, no guilt or feeling tensed,
We danced from the moment we met,
It was a night we talk about, we will never forget,
How we danced In each other’s arms,
Your good looks and charms, set off all my alarms.
We bid each other goodnight, it was fate,
It was also very late.
Many years later, it was Valentine's Day…………………….,
One glorious day Elias phoned me
And sent me flowers,
I’ve been contemplating this call for hours,
Are you free no fiancé, hubby or boyfriend?
No I answered slowly and deliberately,
It is therefore time I make you my wife,
So we can be together, for the rest of our lives.
Will you go on a date with me,
Yes, I replied dreamily!
