Wow. I seriously considered entering my poem "Valentine Quest" in this contest instead. I made a good decision, cause this would have definitely beat mine. And that last stanza, all I can say it is, that's one of the hottest and most well written stanza I have ever read on that subject. I am not going to wish you luck on your contest. This write needs no luck, it is a winner all on it's own. It takes talent to master the shorter forms of poetry and you have it. Well Done. S.Ronthorpe

Obviously I didn't know the contest was over and it was a winner....."egg on my face". I seriously didn't know the contest was judged. My comments still stand, I was just a bit behind, it's a flaw. In the words of a famous congressman "I am not a perfect man" :-}

We drank all night in love's delight. And acted like two fools. I gazed into your lovely eyes just like two lapis pools. The morning came to end our shame. And reality's whip was bound to tame. But everytime I think of it, my mouth just always drools.

Reads like a winner and a TV add for Red Lobster or Olive Garden..Enjoyed..Good luck in the contest..Excellent choice of dessert..The form of my last entry is called a Triquint..I think someone made it up but not sure..It was not easy to write and I am not sure if I did it correctly..Just type it in your search engine and you should find out how it is put together..It is three stanzas of five lines each..The count is 9, 7, 5, 3, 1..Rhyme is a,a,a,a,b..carries over to each stanza.Sara

Someone wrote a contest entry using this form..I thought that I would look it up..I was challenged to try it..I probably needed a handicap to write it though...Sara
