A Transparent Mask

Be proud of what God made you You are the only one he made that way What do you have to hide? Are you afraid everyone will see what you really do? You are almost like night and day Are you afraid someone will see your other side? Are you good or bad, I don't know? And I don't really care Just be proud of what you really are? You are just putting on a show Who cares if they stare But don't hide who you are Don't be counterfeit, be real Hiding will not get you anywhere Beauty is only skin deep, the truth is in the heart Shoes that don't fit have a certain feel Honesty will buy you a meal Look in the mirror and be smart Rich or poor, give it all you have got All you can do is do your best It should be easy, not a hard task God is not asking a lot Every now and then, he will give you a test Are you hiding behind a transparent mask

Being true to one's self is really the only way to go, Danny. And you're right that many people try to "mask" their true selves. But the truth always surfaces in the end. Wise words in this outstanding write! Love, carolyn

Good advice Danny. We should be who we really are. Sometimes it takes time to know who we really are or face, because indeed there is good and bad, a battle within hard to conquer, but the conscience is the guide, God's print within us to help us win. Good write. Thanks for sharing. Your friend, Caroline.
