A Tiny Blue Flower
As I walked along the path from the beach.
I realized how much of it the dunes had taken.
The vegetation was now within reach.
I then noticed a small area, looking forsaken.
Our dunes are protected by the state.
Off limits to all that would explore.
But I saw something, that made me hesitate.
A tiny blue flower, with the strength to endure.
It was surrounded by vines and grass so high,
that had almost strangled its colorful blooms
But there it was, so small, but not shy.
Right in the middle of the overgrown dunes.
