A Thousand Miles
A Thousand Miles
Many will walk a thousand miles
To never know their destination
Most are searching their horizon
To tweak a path of new elation
I’ve walked my own; a thousand miles
In darkness, still, before the dawn
Yet, I have seen with my minds eye
And now I know that I’ve been wrong
Horizons are to keep us straight
But still we are, in the here and now
You take each step to do what’s right
To keep yourself on solid ground
And though, it may have taken me
At least or more, a thousand miles
It was the triumphs of the journey
That have made me,
And, let me smile
