A Thousand Goodbyes

How have we survived
The unbearable force of time?
Our names erased from this Earth
buried under dry sand and light.
Our bodies, our kisses, our goodnights...
A Million moons between us.
A Thousand times goodbye.
And somehow, here we are,
You still you.
And your love still mine.
