A Teacher In Chinatown Sf

The most beautiful days in my life, Living in San Francisco near that Bridge, the Golden Gate! Days of well behaved children in classes that had no strife. God had surely blessed me, to have such a divine fate. Each morning, I took a cable car to school. With that divine ride, came the great scent of the Pacific Ocean! I was impressed by my classes’ respect for the Golden rule. So glad to have left Chicago, which was indeed my land of Goshen! It was a grand blessing, to be respected as a teacher! We had recess on the spacious, sun blessed, large, safe roof. In Chicago, kids fought and I had to be both warden, add....a preacher! Sunny San Francisco,we could see three cities, I felt happy as a puppy and wanted to bark, woof-woof! I wanted to thank God, today for each day.... I went to work. And this is just one of thousands of blessings in my life. San Francisco, in that same place, I became, one day, a beautiful wife! Thank you, dear San Francisco! Always, my heaven on this earth! 4/26/2022

Kim...my poems tell a lot about me, the earlier ones, especially. Yes, SF was so cool. I am so, so glad I left Chicago. Kill-City!it was not se bad when I left. I have friends who do not leave their homes. Not all of Chicago is like that. SF is Roughthese days.I left and will never go back.I cannot believe stealing is permissible in CA! We have a lunatic Governor, ugh. I think you heard about him. Wait till the millions of immigrants get here. Guess who will support them via heavy taxes? WORKERS! Free ride for them. Pangie,xx

I love San Francisco. I have walked across the Golden Gate bridge up close and personal. It is a unique city with hills and charms that mesmerize. I once left my heart there. I think teaching is a wonderful profession. One of my daughters is an educator. My son also taught English in Japan and in California. I enjoyed your lovely poem Pangie. I hope you are all healed now? Blessings xxoo

Greetings Connie. I had a friend, an English professor from SF, who could quote poetry so beautifully, who jumped off that bridge! And Connie, He survived. Most jumpers do not. I loved that Bridge as you did. Those views? Overwhelming.I did mot live far from it. I was a runner and saw that beauty at sunrise. It’s overwhelming, I have written many poems about that city, Good you have educators in your family. Yaaa!! After five months of in home therapy.I can walk and use a rollator...but no more running))) How fun your son taught in both places. I am grateful to God, UC Davis, surgeons, nurses, and patient therapists who made walking at all......a reality, Connie. Yours, Pangie

LOL.Tom. I am sure times have changed in the UK, also, over the past 40 years. We just have to make the best of things and not give in to injustice. Nor, sacrifice our country’s rich histories to pkease crowds with no brains. I hope I made sense! Yours, Pangie

Yes, Belle, I am a retired teacher! I first went to university to study nursing. Then decided, to be a teacher! I was excited to graduate”cum laude”. My poetry is mostly the story of my life.my friends, outlooks. I write a legacy for my family. I don’t write to win a thing. The completion of a poem makes me exuberant.and friends like you, who read and comment, are appreciated. I don’t want to be top, best or number 1 poet. I said in a comment, “my heart splashed on paper is my satisfaction.” And to stay humble! Yours, Pangie

I fell in love with SF when I lived in Hayward in the late 80's. It is probably the most beautiful city I've visited in the USA. I feel sad to see the low it has sunk to with the liberals in charge. And long before that, there was a lot of crim and disrespect of teachers in the 80's, so I guess society's low morals were catching up to SF once I got there. you are lucky to have known it in its time of sweetness. Awesome poem, Pangie

Hi, my friend! I know you did. By the way, liberals in 1960, no way resemble today’s which are a Socialist Party, out to shut down freedom that’s why they are in frenzy mode the past few days. They cannot afford free speech as they remind me of Stalin. There is only one way, the liberal way. If not liberal, you will be silenced. I was living there when Moscone was killed. He was a liberal, Feinstein took over. By 1976, They became Control Freaks. Morals? What are those? That Apple pregnant Emoji? The move to kill babies up to one month old. Mon Dieux! Shades of Herr Hitler. This is not going afterJews only. Any baby Full grown, can be murdered. It’s morally depraved, Low morals are worldwide and cherished. Disrespect of teachers is taught at home. That all Happened in Chicago, but no, not all schools. I see more stupidity ahead. I am grateful for my days there.PS crime, murder is in all cities. We honor killers who go free. We cheer when police die? Nuts. Yours,Pangie
