A Tangled Mess
A Tangled Mess
You make a tangled mess when you deceive
and have to tell a lie upon a lie
to change beliefs that someone else perceives.
You want to end the ruse and so you try
to tell them everything and start anew
and have to tell a lie upon a lie.
It would be nice to just admit what’s true
although it might hurt someone to the bone
to tell them everything and start anew.
You think it would be easier by phone,
admitting truth to have the tangle solved
although it might hurt someone to the bone.
You know deep within you’re not evolved
and that you have no guts to see this through,
admitting truth to have the tangle solved.
You know that this confusion will not do.
You make a tangled mess when you deceive
and that you have no guts to see this through
to change beliefs that someone else perceives.
