A Tall Crystal Wine Glass

A tall crystal wine glass stands. In awe and delight, I am found. A beauty in the meadow lands, To many you have life astound. You, delicate, impermeable; A tall crystal wine glass stands. I, weak, proud, impenetrable; Try to hold me and life confounds. Seems stable, firm and unperturbed, Pour anything and shape’s the same. A tall crystal wine glass stands, Even the lover’s lips can’t tame. Stem is for you to hold me; My bowl, for kindness that expands To me; that I no longer be A tall crystal wine glass stands.

how sweet, to write a poem on a wine glass. I love how you discussed its shape and how it just stands always the same.

I feel a wanting to be but a losing in this poem. Not sure if the wine glass is a comfort, but I love it all the same. Nice one, James :)
