You Live in a Fantasy World Contest

 Sponsored by Eve Rober   12/2/24

There's a tale of old that has a throne of gold, a sunflower for the queen. Her bright silver wings shine when she sings. A lovelier Fairie I've not seen. Her name is Dakin and she has taken a dragonfly for a friend. In fantasy worlds dreams are unfurled, and pretending never has to end.

Nice, Lin. I took one look at the picture and my brain went blank. Might have another gander… it’d sure be nice to write something brief now I’ve escaped the clutches of a monster write I’ve been fighting with ;-)

Lin, a sweet scene indeed. Love the name choice. Google AI google says, in mythology, dakinis are female paranormal entities that appear in both Tibetan Buddhism and Hindu texts. You probably know some wonderful examples and we know that we poets like fantasy to some extent. We love to dream about beautiful places! Smiles!

I had no idea Dakin had such an interesting interpretation. It’s just a name I made up to rhyme. Great info, Duke. It’s nice knowing you have such an inquisitive mind and that you appreciate my poetry.

A throne of gold, that’s a lovely description for a sunflower, a beautiful rhyme so fitting to the picture… Beryl
