A Tale of Bravery

Quote : " A humble tribute to the brave Indian soldiers who fought in the Galwan valley.."

The welcome sun gilded, the mighty seven mountain peaks
As fingers adorned with rings, they lay aloft our eyes
Beneath our feet, the silent sleeping snowy snake
Conquered on the kiss of cold, a cambered frozen line.

The eternal night of valour, written in silver past
Still shining in the faces of unshuffled uniforms of bravery
Twenty daring sons of motherland, in the ticking clock of darkness
On the giddy throng of foes, fallen lightning strokes.

Time was what they need, till the distant succour
They fought an infinite war, fringing their martyrdom
Until the land kisses, the unclouded moment of victory
For the present cradles to sing, made their last salute.

This is quite a contest entry -- and winner I see -- Tell me: How does someone from from a sand dune write so elegantly about snow-capped mountain settings?! (lol). You must have more than a little Shakespeare in you! (That 17th century Englishman who wrote about Caesar, Antony and Cleopatra, Hamlet the Dane, and so many others centuries removed from his era). All hail thee, Jenish! Salute, Gershon

So sweet Gershon.. You made my day.. But I'm not a born desert dweller.. I just happened to be in the desert for a fairly large time.. Thanks for the job.. I'm from the southern lush green part of India and also if you have a TV in your room, you can even describe heaven as your native land.. lol.. Thank you..
