A Successful Resuscitation

Each life-giving push do not botch
Control CPR with a watch
This patient has socks
Knock them off using shocks
And zap not the heart but the crotch

This was a good and funny one, Duke. Wish you did more like these again. Politics is making me so sick these days. Thanks so much for your attentiveness to my recent poetry.

my gosh, it's so difficult finding new poems of yours to read.Gosh, I must have begun my comments to them when you had them posted from 2009!! Finally I found this one. Sorry, but i cannot bring myself to comment on your Trump limericks since I am equally repulsed by the agenda of the Dems and their idiocy. Let me read this one now!

Duke, as a youngster, when I occasionally felt 'down', my mother would look at me and say, "Count your blessings Child of God" ...I now pass this on to you and wish you every happiness....

Judy, thank-you so very kindly. I felt uncomfortable about this. It would give everyone a bit of insight into my sick mind. However, I couldn't help myself. I read a few of yours this AM. I couldn't sleep this morning due to a stressful situation I am dealing with. Your words and images have given me some solace. For that, and for being a kind soul and gem that you are, may I salute you! Thank-you for being here for all of us.

Kim, you have nothing to worry about. You are a dear!! I have been consumed by struggles at work, and have no downtime for creative thought. I will probably write something later about the monster that stole my soul (temporarily). It's very unfortunate when life's annoyances intrude upon our creative patterns. I wish only good things for you.

This was a bit of sickness that I happened to think of while talking to one very funny person who happens to be very animated and wonderful. So, why my mind went this way, I do not know. I hope you know that I am completely in love with your work!!

Oh goodness no! A zap in the heart - can the pain surpass a painful zap in the crotch? Prolly not. XD Funny one, dear. Always, Laura

Well, quite frankly I wasn't thinking of pain, but rather a different sensation that would perhaps bring on a more pleasant demise! Perhaps even a miraculous recovery. Would I even stoop to feign a heart attack? This was written in a moment of total sickness in the head while I was talking to a very creative and beautiful woman who is just too funny all the time. So, I hit upon a moment of silliness.
