A Stubborn Goat

Grandfather offered me a He-goat For forty birthdays I missed A stubborn animal it is All day long it pulls down The sun by its rays in vain Evening it comes home hungry Sleeping or chewing curd It does not whole night With anguish spends time alone Warning stars not to move near And the moon to keep distance
