A Stroll Through Autumn Holding Your Hand
A stroll through Autumn holding your hand,
Talking nostalgic of days slipped by.
We remind ourselves of each little child,
Remember Jenny, Jimmy, Herbie and Sy.
We shuffle crispy leaves under years’ old shoes,
You slip a kiss neath my ear,
How many weeks do we have to shuffle through fall.
I will press that kiss, never fear.
Sing to me quietly our song, our song,
The one you held to my cheek.
While we saved it in our annual heart,
Through Christmas Carols and Winter bleak.
