A Stroll In the Dark

I‘ll leave distinct tracks for you tonight
in the black sands of Reynisdrangar
that no wave could wash away

the waning light dimming down the sky
reminding me of our childhood days
and our silly songs of innocence

but nothing compares to the softness
of her voice flowing deep in my veins
of her hair caressing my misty skin

the glamorous hand rises from the seas
seventy feet high in its splendour
beckoning me to her ageless embrace

it only takes a stroll in the dark
for only the honest hearts create
a warm flame of life to live with
