A Strange Dream

Recently in my dream
a wild pigeon flew inside my house
landed on the corridor and
turning into a baby
came toddling to me.
I lifted him, held in my arms
and loitered here and there.
I asked , “Dear,
when will you turn again into a bird ? “
But before listening his reply
I woke up from sleep.
It was five morning ,
chirping of the birds heard
three wild pigeons walking
on the courtyard .
I have some fruit trees growing
at the backward and courtyard
of my house
on which they usually perch.

I really liked this. My dreams are so strange like this one too. Kinda like the time I dreamed I gave birth to a cat. I like how your ending corresponded so well with the dream itself.

If I were to choose a bird to represent a baby, I'd also choose a pigeon. With the large heade and wobbly walk, I can vision a toddler learning to walk. Your poem has insight into sleeping psychology. This story is fascinating.

For sure, where our dreams are, also can be our hidden hearts -- our gardens: We should love and nurture. Excellent read.
