A stone knows what it’s like To ripple on the lake Consequences to the actions That others care to take A stone knows how it feels When windows have been shattered Yet not what’s caused the thrust What feelings hadn’t mattered What of that little stone Cast in thoughtless degree With no consideration What if that stone is me
