A Squirrel Family Tale
On a cold wintry day,
While their mom collected nuts
Two tiny baby squirrels
In their nest warmed their butts
The wind was blowing hard
And the nest needed a fix
So, their dad went out searching
In the blizzard for sticks
He returned with a mouthful
His cheeks full and stuff
He made seven more searches
Till he then had enough
The kittens asked mom
"Mom, does winter last forever"
Mom cracked open a nut and ate it
Then said, "Nope kitties... not never"
The kittens wide-smiled
They were so happy to hear that
Then they got out of the nest
Where their tiny little butts sat
Then, they ran down the tree
To look for nuts 'neath the snow
But returned to ask their mom
"Mom... where do we go"
