A walk in the park Sunny skies Lovers hand in hand Strolling along the promenade Smelling the sweet scent of red roses all around As I sit here all alone On a park bench Beside the most beautiful woman I ever laid eyes on If only I was not so shy I would have told her so

This is where creativity, which most poets possess, comes in handy. You could talk about the weather, nearby scenery, even mention the color of her hair as compared to anything of beauty. Next time that happens you will find an opening I am sure. I enjoyed your poem which we can all relate to.

wow Arthur,.. the honesty in this.. I can relate.. I have sat beside a good-looking man on the bus or plane and just could not talk to him... even if he talked to me,.. I would just looked at him.. thank you for a wonderful poem.. and happy spring to you B

Thanks Cherl and yes you can print from here, or copy and paste. Sometimes I just find it more relaxing to read a poem on paper, not at the computer!
