A Soul-Searched Stretch of Despair

A soul-searched stretch of despair Emits from the pores of these tears… Staring off in an emptiness I embrace A place so stark of life So lost…glad to be misunderstood Yet frustrated by the lack of empathy The lack of sense… Words oozing in an unfeeling mess… To exist… to merely exist Does it not baffle you? Does it even cross your mind… That you…and your thoughts… are so Incredibly alone...? ... Or is this soul lost in sorrows… Sorrows you can never dream to behold?

Despair not!... For the emptiness you embrace, is but a misunderstanding of your existence. With words of this nature, ~~~~~~You will never be alone~~~~~ :o)

There is a marvelous ambiguity in this intriguing poem Laura. I am captivated by the transition of Tense, are you speaking about yourself to yourself, or is this rhetorical poetry at it's best...I love it! Either way, everyone gains from the medicine of melancholoy. Personally, I do not believe in being Alone, and although there is inevitability and value in sorrow, I only permit It brief breaths in my life, no time for self pity. Thank you for the healthy poetry. Always, Justin
