A Silent Moment

today i sit in silence beneath darkness in remembrance the sky didn't get the memo its thunderous roar is echoing across the hills crumbling my chain of thoughts like buildings lost flashbacks blinking in fragmented bolts of lights like explosion of mind grounded shadows falling down all around like lives gone its anger lashing in streams stinging like tears against my face perhaps it’s just lashing out in remembrance too September 11,2019

This is very special my friend. Your imagery and poetic expression are as stunning as your metaphor of the destructive storm. Congratulations on your first place! Hugs and prayers.

A lovely tribute you wrote Sandy..I heard the silence, and the anger..a day we will never forget. They came here and abused our freedom.

Thank you Vijay...i remember the silence for weeks to follow, not planes in the skies, every where you went flags displayed, the songs written by artists, the closeness...shame the world has grown so distant through the years........hugs :)

I just loved this, how your words enticed nature to be a part of the remembrance of that day, how you portray the sky crying and the dark clouds a sign of sadness. This was amazing my friend.

So many of us knew people who died that day or who was affected by the loss Sandra. You have captured that anguish and pain wonderfully in this tribute to the loss that day. May they rest in peace! xxoo

I still remember the chaos of that morning, we just headed home from our buses, got home to parents leaving their homes to pick children up at schools, everyone hugging each other tighter the respect of flags and the sadness in the depths of silence of this nation :) hugs
