A Silent Moment

today i sit
in silence
beneath darkness
in remembrance

the sky 
didn't get the memo
its thunderous roar
is echoing 
across the hills
crumbling 
my chain of thoughts
like buildings
lost

flashbacks
blinking
in fragmented
bolts of lights
like explosion
of mind

grounded shadows
falling down
all around 
like lives
gone

its anger 
lashing in streams
stinging like tears
against my face

perhaps
it’s just lashing out
in remembrance too
