A Sigh of Relief

Our daughter is a Democrat
  Our son, a Republican
He's labelled her a bleeding heart
  She calls him a Trumpity-Dumpity-Man

My wife and I saw an opportunity
To finally move them out of the house
In our son's room we hung a poster of AOC
In our daughter's closet lurks a robot mouse

When they finally left, we breathed a sigh of relief
Until we looked each other right in the eye
~ And started expressing our own beliefs

We have decided never to discuss any of that silly stuff; it divides families.

Thank you, Alexis. I feel that this kind of thing is happening all too often these days, unfortunately. Sweetness and Light, Gershon
