A Sense of Emptiness
The nothingness ancient
Transformed into the universe nascent,
Matter came from silence
The core of cosmic sense
Voids in all things’ essence
Creator’s unique space they represent.
In all things that exists
The universal voidness still persists
In depth of living mind
Of the evolved mankind
Filled with emotions blind,
Life gets attached although conscience resists.
Full sky holds its clouds low
They melt in storm, make the sad sky hollow,
Happy trees green in spring
Don’t hear the birds near sing
When in fall leaves grow wing,
Life plunged in barrenness turns fallow.
In loss clouded mind grieves
Melt emotion drains, emptiness it leaves,
Let soul clear delusion
From mind in seclusion,
Open devout vision
Know how peace from emptiness life retrieves.
