A Secretive Possession

Who doesn't have
a secretive possession
forcefully hidden inside,
never revealing it;
will it remain forever
an obscure memory
never seeing sunlight?

A secretive possession
is a jealous sentiment
kept in total darkness,
unless the feeble spirit
finally breaks down.

I have some secretive
possessions that have
intently locked away
never challenged,
or revealed to anyone;
should I decide
to make them known,
it would self-betrayal
of consciousness
and awareness.

Who has the audacity
to conceal a secretive
possession when the tongue
slips out of anger,
or the inability
to hold it inside?

If treachery wasn't
your intention,
be honest with yourself
and lift the burden
that was stored inside...
take a breath of relief
for your well-being.
