A Rose
"a rose"
one fine night within dreams you whispered the words
recite just for me a scented poem "a rose"
thinking its meaning and worth my mind turned to you
all that you are all that a rose is the core holds love
soft petals resemble gentle touches of every caress
each color represents stages of our tender journey
I leave the fragrance and scent up to the floral itself
in my heart it leaves its mark upon us and within us
revealing this affair of love will always be "a rose"
may another fine night find its way to you
may it whisper love and breathe fresh air
may it eternally signify our union is true
