A Return From Ashes and Dust

A Return From Ashes And Dust When heart dares to life again seek Hope comes gifting a little peek Over rainbow and a bit beyond Out far past shores of ones' small pond Beyond mountains found in our dreams Beyond greed and our worldly schemes A return from ashes and dust Finding happiness is a must For there is no life without joy Returning, one must this employ Courage to risk falling apart So hard to repair broken heart Dawn cries out, rise to love renew Others have done that, so can you! Robert J. Lindley, 7-12-2022 Sonnet Note: Riverbank, watching waters flow Living with aching pains in tow Golden moon above shining down Heaven above, its glowing gown I ask, Lord what is left of me Am I truly this fallen tree Then heard is a clear booming shout Open your eyes, look all about Again strive to see, light is free You do have a true friend in me.

.... Indeed it is so hard to repair a broken heart ! Yet we are not meant to live in eternal gloom.... we have to rise to renew love. For everyone there are trials and tribulations in life. So we have to look on those who have subdued the trials of life and emerged from the ashes and dust like phoenix ! Listen to the cry of your inner soul and brave the adversities of life . Beautiful poem Robert... so touching too!

Hi Robert, your voice sings on words of love, a heart singing within its pain. From the depths of your heart come forth the words that touch the heart of the reader. There is always much to be learned from you, my friend. Take what each day has to give you, my friend. Has to be a fave, Robert.

My favorite poetic form, the sonnet. Thanks for this beautifully written one, Robert. Your poems of love, loss and hope of recovery will encourage many my friend. You're doing a great service to many through sharing your thoughts and feeling in this time of pain and healing. I've been to the depths of pain and despair and returned, but your willingness to help others while going through this is godly love. From the depths of my heart, thank you. You inspire me, Bill Adding to my FAV'S list.

Robert, this is such a beautiful write. I know how much you have suffered with the loss of Claire. In your grief have penned with the pen of a broken heart. Give yourself time~hold on to your warm memories, reflecting on them, like a good luck charm. Blessings, Paulette

Thank you, my friend. I have come to realize that there will be no quick recovery. That taking one day at a time is the path.. God bless...
