A Red Sun Rising
My eyes beheld a red sun
Rising out of the ocean
Disappearing briefly behind
A puzzle piece cloud then
Bursting forth with a
Cornucopia of colors that
Stretched across the horizon
I sit on the pier enraptured by
The magnificence of the dawn
Gods magnum opus painted
In the morning sky before me
Climbing ever higher it's appearance
Begins to change from Deep red
To vibrant yellow warming the day
The many colors fade until
Only the color blue remains
Welcome early morning
Welcome new day over the ocean
