A rashly written valentine verse

There is this nun, with a shady pimple
She hides behind a reinforced wimple
When the Sister has none
Brother Val, gives her one
Not spotless, though relatively simple

Dear David, I really liked the depth of what youv conveyed here in the form of limerick. As funny as it may be, the reality is also quite sad, I hope the pimples of consent keep coming her way and it is with her consent she receives them! Thank the lord for the wimple! Pleasure reading you again, sending you light always. A fave for sure as always!

You’re absolutely right Ink, the reality of this one is indeed sad, in the past many of these brotherly and sisterly institutions left (nasty marks) on the people they were supposed to be looking after, so I thought (what the hell) why not let them have a go at each other in my Limerick, thanks so much for stopping by, and bestowing a very welcome Fave, cheers David

Hello David, Brother, you rogue. I love how you pretend this was “rashly written,” as if it just tumbled out between sips of coffee, when in fact it’s wound tight as a snare drum. The rhyme snaps. The meter behaves. And then that sly little turn of mischief. Write more of these. The world needs small irreverent bells ringing now and then. Winter Blessings David, Daniel

Hands up Brother Daniel, you caught me playing around with all things erm rash/ly done lol! I don’t write many Limericks, but every so often one pops into my head; Snare drum revelation… I do like to keep them tight, doesn’t always work, but this one on first write was so near the mark, I decided to beat it into an orderly fashion, as for ringing that irreverent bell, guilty as charged! Cheers David

More like a rash that she got from Val. She'd be wise to check with the other nuns... particularly the young novitiates. Val might be a brotherly pal to all the sisters. He's spreadin' somethin' beneath the habits!

Heya Lin, I’ve honestly no idea who the spreader is in this one lol! But over here in the past, all the holy orders were pretty shady characters, with very nasty habits indeed, :( cheers David
