A Ramshackle Faith

Temptation’s collars
choke life out of me.
Truth the greatest gift,
it costs everything,
just one breath away.

Doubt takes the joy,
walked the fool’s quest
too long, discern;
deceived – elect.

Every tongue
will confess,
our Spirits

to kneel
before

Christ.

So we learn Christ is the author & perfector of Our faith..Meaning we are not perfect.' As are none in heaven or earth or below etc.' In the Meantime we bump along, early on especially Groping with reality here' and the promise and The ultimate reality unseen fully.) also how can We deal with temptation if we never face it? Or turn from it? In order to do so it must be Encountered, all the best Rob.'

The truth is a journey and it gets tougher as you go, but it remains the best gift God has given us.

Dear Rob, your expressive pen spills with deep and meaningful verse. Temptation challenges the strength and resilience of our faith and doubt is the devil that enters one’s heart and mind. A potent ending makes this heartfelt piece memorable. Warmest wishes.. ~Susan
