have the
poets gone?
Our Soup seems bland
and it's growing cold.
Might it be re-heated?
Activity is the stove
that warms it. To my vanished friends:

Beautiful query, Andrea. Beautiful poem. Like the song poets Seals & Croft said: we may never pass this way again. People blow in a out like a fresh breeze. I just enjoy them while they're here. The comings and goings and the haunting unknowings. The empty space we try to retrace to never rekindle the flame. And yet it still burns and strangely returns, but just never seems quite the same.

Where have they gone, indeed? I can think of a handful of people who I would want to see more here (haha, heck, I'd probably even include myself-- kidding!! The nerve of me, I know! I don't think I've fully vanished here anyhow, just hiding) Kidding aside, this nonet hit the spot for me, I've said it before, I'll say it again-- you write nonets and other forms with so much ease, it's just amazing! I think this won, and deservingly so! Still a bit rainy over here... I have to sleep now...

Congratulations Andrea. I was away for some time with my eye problems. Many reasons why members might not be writing that much. I know I really miss poetry when I am away from it. I am sure they will be back.

Things haven't been the same here, but then I often think summer takes people into different directions, with more away from home. Perhaps when fall arrives, and school starts, we will all get back into our routine. (I even find myself away from the computer these days...less time to write)! Good way to express your thoughts!!
