A Proper Walk

A Proper Walk Is it something that I said or simply sad? My refined lady lost her shoes today By the way, she had no cloths on either Point of fact, she was naked, head to toe and then some No one had to know, she had no attire, not a stitch On the walk, down the road at dawn, with just a yawn A fire or some calamity I assumed Had taken her by surprise and with it her outfit too A mystery I should not mention and put to rest Panties were consumed as well, I guessed Such things should not be discussed Perfume and a smile were all she wore I wished her a good morning You look lovely but aren’t you a bit chilly dear? We strolled along the avenue hand in hand I sported my Desmond Merrion and new wool coat Nothing changed as we strolled on the block Tip toed delicately on a wooden fence Talked about the weather being brutal cold Avoiding un-pleasantries, underwear And other matters naked in the air Her new look was stunning under the morning sun It would be inappropriate for a gentleman like me To discuss what she had on or not But her hair looked oh so lovely and she is so shy She smiled in delight, on sun beams and fragile fences Shaky, as we played and danced away

Your poetry is just soaring since I last read you Earl. For my taste this is the type of poetry that should be published. I love this off key topic that was probably written at face value with the knowledge that it creates intricate between the line's meanings. You should be proud of this write!

Hi Maurice, Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it. Any one can simply walk down a street. I had my characters tip toe on top of a shaky thin fence, in the buff, the man; in a $47,000.00 suit, in the light of day. Variety Is the spice of life, with a measure of discretion being the better part of valor thrown in to make a sunny story. I know; a little odd but such is life. Thanks again for commenting. Earl

Hi Sara, Thank you so much. I wanted to get back to you sooner. My computer was acting up. I threatened to take it out back to the wood shed to correct it.... Oh!...If only I had a wood shed. I appreciate your commenting. Have a great day. Earl

Hi Debbie, Thank you for commenting. I'm glad you enjoyed it. He was a discreet individual and a nice guy but I wonder if he ever offered his wool coat to the lady. I guess we will never know. Have a great day. Earl

Hi Jan, Thanks. It is not every day that you see a man in a $47,000.00 suit walking on the top of a narrow fence with his lady of grace in the buff, up there with him on the fence. I like playing with such ideas. I stretch ordinary things into extraordinary things to see what might happen. (fragile fence...fragile life...) Glad you liked it. Earl
