A Poem Lovely As a Rose

A poem lovely as a rose -
she shows to us her pretty pose.

She sits with grace atop a stem,
dew-covered, glowing like a gem.

I love to see her many hues
which often have inspired my muse.

In yellow, pink or red – each spring
delightfulness my rose shall bring.

Delightfulness like I will find
when poems blossom in my mind.

Oh, Rose, so precious, fragrant too,
I wait for you to bloom anew.
