A Plea

Her eyes were shut, closed tight, no light, no gleam. In day, in night, the same, no change, one hope. In life, the curve of the road it broke the beam. To wake, like right, can you, will you, say nope. The beeps go loud, still there, cord pumps in air. My sound it clings to you, your bed in wait. As the tree stands in roots, hi mom, wake bear. Come back to me, we need, to walk, to bait. So worn, so down, it hurts, if only, but you. You are my smile, my life, my heart, my love. A clock, hands roam, time goes, up, down, and flew. Mind strength for love to run. to crawl, like dove. This pause the sun is joy to see you wake. Your choice to love, to live, if for a cake.
