A Pinch of Salt Just Will Not Do

A pinch of salt or even two
never enough, just will not do

But let it rain down, pour it on in
you'll get ulcers faster than with Mr. Clean

The sweet spot's somewhere in between ~
  sodium bicarbonate and 'buttered pretzelines'

A gem of a poem that's worth its salt, Gershon . . . ; )

Give me my salt, sugar, and hot peppers. I cannot imagine food without them. This made me smile.

A bit more than a pinch and I wind up in the hospital. I used to eat tons of salt, but now with congestive heart failure it's an absolute no-no. I still cheat a bit, though. Some things I can't handle without a sprinkle or two!...like eggs!

I hear you, Milt... and glad you cheat a little too. The rigidity of no-tolerance dietary instructions can render us vulnerable to other kind of diseases and neuroses. ~ Salt of the Earth
