A Piece of Pi

Have a piece of pie today – Try apple, plum or cherry Or key lime, lemon, Boston cream Or one I love – mixed berry. The choices aren’t infinite Like digits never ending In Pi, which though explained to me I’m just not comprehending. It starts with 3 point 14, Which you’ll notice is today, Then keeps on adding numbers In an on and on display. Instead of making sense of this Or trying, I suggest Indulging in whichever pie Your taste buds like the best.

Pi was an important number to ancient Greek and Egyptian architects, yet no one knows who came up with this magic number? As for real pie, I love lemon with egg whites lightly brown; their there's cherry, peach, blueberry, banana cream, coconut custard, chocolate, mince meat, strawberry/rhubard, and apple – all in moderation since I'm diabetic. / M

Andrea, rhubarb is an early growth here in New England. I grew up with it, eating it with salt rather than sugar. And, yes, it's sold in our markets. / M

Ilene, so glad you remembered Pi Day with a tribute poem! Lemon for me, extra tart, smothered in whipped cream, yum. Pi is the ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter, and thus, pies are round! Hope I don't start a rhubarb with all this math talk, hehe. Love your piem (oops, poem)
