Author's Notes: "A Person's Worth and Measure," is a Rhymed Couplet I wrote and set in a mixed meter. I wrote this poem as a mirrored reflection of God's view of a person's worth and measure. My attempt here is to show the interactive relationship between God and Man-Woman with the reassurance that "a person's azimuth," in this case, his or hers "direction in life" lies very much in God's hands. Now that I've said that, it would also be wise to factor a person's "free will" into God's ultimate celestial equation as one thinks about the relational sketch I've provided here on God's view of a person's worth and measure. God may have His plans, but we humans also possess our Free Will -- and the two do clash at times. Something indeed interesting to think about. Any attendant "Soul" issues are probably better left for another poem to consider and discuss. (Gary Bateman - June 6, 2015) (Rhymed Couplet)
