A Pantoum About Autumn

Autumn is a time to take stock of all that you have accomplisehd 
It is a time to put away your summer wardrobe and switch to sweaters 
Close your water taps and shut your windows for at night from now on  
The days will be warm but the nights will be cold. Open your heater

Stock up on good books and puzzles for it may be a long winter stay  
The days will be warm but the nights will be cold.  Open your heater   
You now have the freedom to dream and write poetry beneath a safe haven

Great minds are never bored and winter is a time to stay home and create  
You now have the freedom to dream and write poetry beneath a safe haven  
Send the world into its frenzy and send yourself home to quietude and peace
