A Pain In My Side (An Adam and Eve Story)
I've often wondered for many years
Why you've been a pain in my side
The serpent said you'd be like God
But I hate to tell you......he lied
And what's the deal with that fig leaf?
It's getting shorter everyday
It's a good thing we're all alone here
For what would the neighbors say
I work all day naming the animals
While you stare at the sunsets and cry
I come home and wanna eat dinner
But I'm getting tired of that apple pie
You're gonna have to quit spoiling Abel
You're making his brother mad
Keep it up, and you're gonna find out
Cain's gonna do something bad
You let our home get kinda messy
And it happened just like I predicted
Our landlord just wasn't happy at all
And now you've got us evicted
But I still love you, with all of your faults
And you're the greatest wife of all
You've made me the happiest man on earth
For I don't have a mother-in-law
Dedicated to my wife Rhonda
