A Novel Idea
I've just popped in to say hello,
I've been busy for a while,
I came up with this idea,
This should make you smile.
I was sat up late,
Bored alone one night,
Pen and paper in my hand,
Just wondering what to write.
I started scribbling down some words,
Until I realised what I'd got,
If I rearranged the word's I wrote,
I would have myself a plot.
I could write myself a story,
It would pass a little time,
Just to try something different,
You know I like to rhyme.
The words just started flowing,
A short story I would write,
The obsession overtook me,
I was writing every night.
Over forty thousand words I've wrote,
I think I'm half way through,
With a few choice words,a pen and pad,
It's amazing what we can do.
