A Note In the Wind - Nw

I walked one day, no cares in the world.
My mind was a slate needing written upon!
I walked and I walked.
Still no thought came to me.
Then a wind started blowing,
and soon I heard something -
long, lovely, and calming -
a note in the wind I followed..

It led me through meadows
and then to the woods
where that one lovely note was swallowed
in the sounds of the woodland’s creatures.
Sweet susurrations surrounded me then
and beautiful thoughts filled my mind.
Back home I strolled with poetry flowing,
thanks to the note in the wind I followed.

Nature can be very inspiring to a poet like you, Andrea. I especially liked the alliterations in this one ... favorite ... "Sweet susurrations surrounded me then" a triple. :-) Have a Great weekend! Bill

Much inspiration amid nature--when you follow the note that lures heart and mind-- as you so well illustrate in this poem, Andrea.

Oh to wish and write a poem, upon the wind, a gentle breeze to a turbulent tempest, oh yes and like the wind use to change. Which you do so well my dear Andrea.
