Notes About The Poem

A Nook and a Story Book

Words spring out from under the cover Lets delve together into a world A place of magic like no other Where imaginations are unfurled A tale of fantasy and fun Where bubblegum trees touch the sky Animals talk when out in the sun And purple elephants can fly We picture the scenes in our mind’s eye Let our creativity go wild Floating freely like a butterfly Precious time for a mother and child Contest A Nook and a story Book. Hi Jan, Congratulations on your win in the contest with this wonderful write. A wonderful memory you do share with us. Your gentle words can take us back in time too when our mothers would read us or tell us a bedtime story. Those childhood days brought back by your wonderful write. Has to be a seven Jan. "Bubblegum trees touch the sky" This old kid loves children's poems, poems about children. Anyone fortunate enough to have had a happy childhood will adore your imaginative writing. Love, daver

Hey, Dads and Grand-dads can get in on the book reading action too.....at least I do and love every moment of it. Even when the kids tell me "PaPa, that's not what it says when Mom reads it."
