A New Year

A new year
For an old life
A new beginning
Full of restarts

A new chance
To make things right
To fix mistakes
To change your life

Don’t miss the chance
To make amends
To say you’re sorry
To fill the gaps

This doesn’t mean
You should accept
Any mistreats
Or fake friends

Your happiness
Takes precedence
Over anything
Never forget

To value your feelings
Take care of your heart
Look up to yourself
And hold your head high
