A New Story To Tell
I gaze into the endless sky,
alive with clouds of blue and gray.
The wind calls, I have no reply.
There are no more words to say.
I've told my story, too many times.
It's echo ringing harshly in my ears.
No more discussion about the crimes,
that have brought sadness and tears.
I need to find that familiar voice
that once spoke of many things.
What I speak of is my choice,
directing the conversation it brings.
Letting go, leaving all behind,
will allow me a brand new page.
A new meaning with words I find,
not rehearsed upon a stage.
To remind myself that tomorrow,
will arrive with the dawn.
Leaving behind all old sorrow,
creating a story worth passing on.
